About this tool

It works on screenshots, on photos taken off someone else's haul post, and on official retail product shots. It does not need the picture to be the same size or crop — the comparison is done on a perceptual fingerprint of the image, not on the file itself, so a re-saved screenshot still matches.

Common questions

Does it search all of Taobao?

No — it searches this catalogue, which is a curated set of finds rather than all of Taobao. That is the trade-off: a smaller haystack, but every hit already has a working link and a price attached.

What makes a photo search well?

One item, filling most of the frame, roughly straight on. Photos with several items, heavy filters, or the product at an extreme angle match worse, because the fingerprint is taken from the whole image.

Nothing matched — now what?

It genuinely is not in the catalogue. Post the photo in the help-me-find forum on the Discord; that is what it is for, and finds from there get added.

Is my upload stored?

No. The photo is fingerprinted in memory to run the comparison and is not written to disk or kept.
