How likes work

A like counts once per account per haul. You need to be signed in and to have confirmed you are 16 or over. You cannot like your own haul, and there is a limit of ten likes a day so that nobody can sweep the whole feed in one sitting.

We check likes. We look at how old an account is, whether it is in our Discord, and whether its likes cluster on one person or one network — and we remove the ones that are not genuine. We do not publish the exact thresholds, because publishing them is a manual for getting around them.

Some hauls carry likes from before this button existed, or from reactions in our Discord. Where that is the case, the count says so, with the number and the reason, on the haul itself. We only ever add likes that stand for real people, and we correct a count downward only with a recorded reason.

Links to shopping agents on this site are affiliate links — we may earn a commission when you order through them. That does not affect the ranking.

Two rankings, on purpose

Season is raw likes and nothing else — the number you see is the number that counts. A haul posted in the last week of a season has had less time to collect them, and we are not going to pretend a formula fixes that.

Trending is where that is fixed instead: likes weighed against how recently the haul went up, so something from this morning can lead. It is the permanent surface for new hauls, and it does not decide any prize.

If you think a count is wrong

Tell us. Use the report button on the haul, or write to us — byereps is run by one person and a real one reads it. If we removed likes from your haul, ask and we will tell you what we removed and why.
